The working principle of brush motor
When the motor is working, the coil and the commutator rotate, the magnetic steel and the carbon brush do not rotate, and the alternating change of the coil current direction is completed with the commutator and the brush rotating of the motor. Brush motors in the electric vehicle industry are divided into high-speed brush motors and low-speed brush motors. There are many differences between brushed motors and brushless motors. It can be seen from the name that brushed motors have carbon brushes and brushless motors do not have carbon brushes.
A brushed motor is composed of a stator and a rotor. There are magnetic poles (winding or permanent magnet) on the stator, and the rotor has windings. After power is applied, a magnetic field (magnetic pole) is also formed on the rotor. There is a magnetic pole between the stator and the rotor. The angle, under the mutual attraction of the stator and rotor magnetic fields (between the N pole and the S pole), makes the motor rotate. Changing the position of the brush can change the angle between the magnetic poles of the stator and the rotor (assuming that the magnetic poles of the stator are the starting side of the angle, the magnetic poles of the rotor are the other side, and the direction from the magnetic poles of the rotor to the magnetic poles of the stator is the direction of rotation of the motor) Direction, thereby changing the direction of rotation of the motor.
